Meet Jennifer Axcell

Founder & Champion of Rest for Loto Wellness Collective & Editor-in-Chief of Loto Living magazine

Experience Designer, Content Creator & Recovering Workaholic

My journey of recovery from burnout—mind, body, spirit—motivated me to create the safe and beautiful spaces that I needed for my healing and couldn't find.

The Lord told me to increase my tent stakes (Isaiah 54), to dream big, and to make room for the multitude because the pandemic was launching us into a global awakening. God is calling humankind into The Way of Jesus, to heal—Humanity heals, and the world heals.

Thus, Loto Wellness Collective was born and I began my transformation into a modern day Desert Mother.

Contributors & Collaborators

Loto Wellness Collective’s digital magazine, Loto Living, and blog, Loto Journal, would not be possible without the ongoing support and generous contributions from an incredible team of writers, artists, yogis, editors, creatives, and pastors.

Retreat Hosts

Loto Wellness Collective

Loto Wellness Collective retreats are proudly brought to you by a team of passionate creatives who also happen to be family… sisters, cousins, daughters, aunties, and mothers.

  • There is a special magic that exists between identical twins. Having shared the womb, Anne-Marie and Jennifer also share a deep connection with each other and the Spirit that guides their collaborative efforts.

God has been giving them shared prophetic visions of a future House of Loto, a monastic retreat experience and luxury wellness center.

🪷 Identical twin sister to Jennifer and daughter to Pam, Anne-Marie utilizes her event planning and project management skills to lead day-of production for retreat experiences.

  • Pam loves to share the sacred forest land that God has blessed her family with. In a sanctuary of 30 acres of mighty pines and quaking aspens, on the slopes of a 14er named Mt. Shavano, sits her place of retreat.

God promised to lead her into the “spacious life” in this place prepared for her and His purposes—It looks a lot like Psalm 23: a life lived in the serenity and security of the Good Shepherd in the lead, His goodness and mercy as rear guard, and essential life and beauty sought in abundance.

She loves to share those blessings, as well as her gifts of hospitality and crafting food that not only nourishes but delights. Both are expressions of God’s love He shows her every moment of every day.

  • “Freedom is located somewhere outside the box.” - Warren Miller

When Loto Wellness Collective was just a dream, we knew that we wanted to collaborate with Jennifer’s very talented cousin Mary to help design the brand. As Experience Designers, we took a hospitality approach to how we wanted our guests to feel when they experienced Loto as a brand.

Mary developed the core brand identity, initial social marketing, and web collateral.

The name LOTO (Spanish for lotus), represents the beautiful, ever-evolving, journey of life we are all on. Lotus flowers open their petals with the rays of sunlight and close their petals at sunset. The brand visuals are grounded in a celebration of nature’s serenity, botanical immersion, and human elevation through a soft surrealist lens.

🪷 Mary is cousin to Jennifer and Anne-Marie, and niece to Pam.

  • As Founder & Champion of Rest for Loto Wellness Collective, Jennifer is passionate about creating thoughtfully designed experiences in beautiful spaces as moments to rest in God's unhurried rhythms of grace. She is a certified yoga, breathwork, and meditation facilitator and trauma-informed practitioner with a deep love for Jesus.
